Day 1 of the 21 Day Connections Experiment

I spent some time putting together my own 21-day plan for this experiment. If you’re interested in learning more about what I and a whole lot of other fun folks are doing for the next 21 days, you can read more here.

I LOVE all the different plans on the website but I wanted to customize mine a little more. My parents, brothers, nieces, and cousins all live overseas and I have a son in the military, so I wanted to be sure that I was including them in the fun activities of the next 21 days. After all, the whole point is to involve our families and forge stronger links that can help all of us feel more connected, more resilient when faced with trials and troubles, and have more gratitude for family (and friends who become family too!).

Here’s a look at the calendar I created:

21-Day-Calender-Connections

The tag line for my business, KindredPast, has always been ‘Discover Yourself Through Connections with Your Past’ and I feel like that is particularly fitting for this challenge. I look forward to connecting, learning, discovering, and growing in the next 21 days.

  1. I think you have a great schedule laid out. It’s much like what I normally do, but I really should put it in writing. Just this past week I’ve been able to connect with some 3rd cousins and we’re in the process of sharing stories and photos. It’s delightful!

    1. Thanks, Eilene! It’s been fun so far. Lots of good conversations started with extended family members. Congrats on connecting with those 3rd cousins! Nothing better than when they say they have stories and photos!!
